Crucifix
The new chapel for the Jeanne Jugan Home for the Aged is a contemplative worship space for both daily mass and private devotion. The crucifix is suspended above the Blessed Sacrament Chapel where it is flooded with natural light from clerestory windows. The cross is of oak with bronze support elements. The corpus, carved by Yan Rieger from bass wood is seen to be descending from the cross towards the congregation.
