Processional Cross
The chapel is the closest liturgical space to Ground Zero in lower Manhattan and was renovated after 9/11. The theme of the renovation is resurrection and re-growth. The resurrection theme is expressed in the carved glass which spans the entire sanctuary. Centered on the altar is a "rose window" motif with a central cruciform. The processional cross is designed in conjunction with this "rose window" and becomes the main crucifix for the chapel when placed into the floor socket holder.
